A Spiritual Quest

God has called Ironbridge Baptist Church (IBC) to "touch every home in Chesterfield County and beyond while reaching the world for Jesus Christ." We believe that a vital part of our mission is to make room for the multitudes of people right here in the greater Chesterfield County area. The Lord has given us a fresh vision to "enlarge the place of our tent" that will allow us to reach even more people with the good news of Jesus Christ.

In response to God's clear leadership, we have begun a multi-faceted, 4-year spiritual quest entitled "Building-4-Life! (BFL)." Our vision is to raise $4 million in cash over the next 48 months that will enable us to construct the facilities in several phases that are desperately needed to reach our county for Christ. Phase I will entail designing and constructing an interim, 800-seat, multi-use auditorium.

Our dream is to break ground and start construction on Phase I as soon as possible. With a total Phase I construction price of $3 million, the IBC family needs to bring in $1.5 million in cash (50% of the total construction price) so that we begin building! How is this possible? Every IBC family should pray about their level of participation in the BFL spiritual quest and be prepared to make your commitment at the banquet or sooner if you feel so led. Whatever God directs you to give over the 48-months (208 weeks) of this journey; we’re challenging you to make plans now to give one-fourth (the initial 25%) of your total gift!!!

The Lord is moving mightily in our midst! Lives are being changed. The time for enlarged obedience and faith has come! God says, "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes." (Isaiah 54:2)
