Statement of Faith

We, Ironbridge Baptist Church, believe that the Bible is the infallible, authoritative work of God and is the basis for any statement of faith. The church subscribes to the doctrinal statement, "The Baptist Faith and Message", as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1963. We band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind. The ordinances of the church are Believer's Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

Purpose and Objectives

The Ironbridge Baptist Church is a unique body of born-again believers. It has been called of God to share the good news of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible in our community and throughout the world. We believe that it is God's perfect will for our church to grow both numerically and spiritually. God has commissioned us to reach large numbers of unchurched persons through the use of creative and innovative programs and ministries focusing on the needs of the unchurched. Our highest ambition is to see people personally committing themselves to Jesus Christ and living in obedience to Him.

In order to carry out our overarching purpose of evangelism and discipleship, we believe that the accomplishment of three primary objectives is necessary.

  • Exalt the Savior through meaningful worship services and special activities that enhance our personal relationship with God and our willingness to obey Him in our daily lives
  • Evangelize the Sinner by sharing the good news of the gospel on a personal, small-group, and congregational level, encouraging persons to trust in Christ as their personal Savior.
  • Equip the Saints through small group Bible study and discipleship training that will enable the individual Christian to grow spiritually and develop ministry skills.
