Dues and Handbook/Uniforms

Dues are required. They are only $.50 cents each week. If you prefer you may pay $15.00 per clubber or $40.00 maximum per family. (All checks should be made payable to Ironbridge Baptist Church)

Dues help make special activities possible and they help defray some of the expenses of running the program. (If you cannot afford the dues, please contact the Club Commander)

Handbooks and uniforms should be purchased when a child completes the Entrance booklet. The Entrance booklet is free, though if it is lost, you may be asked to buy a replacement. See our Price List below.

Uniforms are strongly encouraged and can usually be worn for several years. Financial assistance is available where needed. Please let us know if help is needed. Contact Awana Commander at 796-6868. We are anxious for you and your child to receive the full benefits of growing in Awana Clubs at Ironbridge Baptist Church. Your questions are welcome!

Things to Remember about Handbooks

  • Once the Entrance booklet is completed, your child is eligible to buy a uniform and handbook. See costs on page 3. It will help if you are ready to purchase the Handbook the week the Entrance booklet is completed. This way, your child will be able to prepare and start passing sections the next week.
  • Clubbers must have their handbooks at club to receive credit for sections passed.
  • No more than 2 helps per section are given in order to receive credit.
  • Sections are passed when said to an AWANA leader. Parents who are leaders should not sign off their own children's sections unless approved by the club director.
  • Parents, help your child to be disciplined by suggesting that they take time each day to work on their verses. Verses are taught in the New Kings James Version.
  • Parents, do your best to explain the meaning of each verse. You will find that they memorize more quickly if they understand what they are memorizing.
  • Parents are asked to initial the sections they feel their children are ready to recite to their leaders. Cubbie parents have a special line in the handbook to sign their name.
  • Encourage your child to work on no more than 5 sections per week. Our leadership is concerned that the clubbers truly understand what they memorize. (The handbooks are designed to be finished in one school year if the clubber recites an average of 2 sections per week)
