How do I become a Christian?
We have prepared a section about becoming a Christian on the website. You can find out more about Christianity, and other resources that may help answer other questions you may have, by following this link.
Do you use the Bible?
We encourage you to bring your Bible every Sunday to Ironbridge. We believe that all Scripture is true and trustworthy, and is the true center of Christian union (see 2 Timothy 3:16-17). We frame each sermon around the Word of God directly from the Bible. The Word of God needs to be the priority in our lives. Bring your Bible so that you can validate what God is saying, but also so that you can feel more comfortable as you practice reading through the Word of God.
Bringing your Bible to Sunday School is also important, since almost all classes are spent studying God’s Word.
If you do not have, or would like a Bible, please talk to our greeter behind the Welcome Center in the Church Commons.

Where are the hymnals?
At Ironbridge we realized that there are very few radio stations in our area that play all Pipe Organ music! We have reason to believe that if there was such a station, not many people would listen to it. So, why not worship the Lord with a contemporary music style that is part of our current culture?
In our services we use a contemporary praise band along with our Adult Choir. Led by Paul Cochran, we sing upbeat praise songs as well as intimate, powerful songs of worship. Paul does a wonderful job of combining traditional hymns with contemporary worship songs. Song lyrics are usually posted on the projection screen in front of the worship center so that you can sing along. There are also lyric sheets in every Sunday bulletin.
Where are the pews?
We built our current worship center so that it could serve multiple purposes. Therefore, we use covered chairs in the sancutary instead of pews, so that these chairs can be stacked and stored away. This makes it possible to convert our worship center into a large room that can accomodate a number of different activities.
Does Ironbridge have a dress code? How do I dress for church?
When asked why they never attend church, many folks say that they can’t afford or don’t have “proper church clothes.” Having to wear suits, ties, and dresses can be discouraging to those that are coming to church for the first time.
At Ironbridge, we dress casually. Blue jeans, t-shirts, shorts, sneakers, sandals, are worn frequently. We dress this way to create a more contemporary and casual atmosphere that will encourage others to visit us. At the same time, this helps us become more welcoming to a younger audience.
If you are a person who enjoys dressing up for church, don’t worry. Many people wear ties, or dresses for our Sunday worship services. With over 350 people attending each worship service, you can expect a variety of dress styles among the congregation.
How often do you hold communion?
We celebrate communion monthly. We hold our communion service on the First Sunday of each month.
Mechanisms for observing communion are different at many churches. At Ironbridge, our team of Deacon Ministers will take the bread and cup and serve it to each row in the worship center. This is a beautiful illustration of Acts Chapter 6:
“Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.” (Acts 6:3-4)
Will I be pressured to give money?
As a guest or regular attender it is our privilege to welcome and serve you at Ironbridge, and we ask that you do not give money unless you absolutely feel motivated. If you are visiting with us, we invite you to fill out the visitor information insert found in the Sunday bulletin and place it in the offering plate as it is passed around.
What if I come from a different faith background?
Ironbridge Church is of the Baptist Faith and therefore shares the beliefs in The Baptist Faith and Message. We are a biblically-centered church, and we often tear down stereotypes of tradition and religion. We welcome anyone from a different faith background to visit Ironbridge. Ironbridge is fresh and exciting; each week is a little different. Our mission is to Glorify God by Creatively Sharing the Love of Christ with All People.
