Middle District Baptist Association Missions Opportunities
Harvest Festival
IBC puts on a Harvest Festival each October. Many volunteers are needed to set up and run game booths and other activities such as a costume contest and refreshments. This is a very popular event and outreach to the community.

IBC Christian School
Ironbridge Community Christian Preschool is a preschool for the community located within the walls of Ironbridge Baptist Church. We operate as a mission to shine the light of Jesus Christ to preschoolers and their families. We have classes for Toddlers (2 year olds) one or two days a week, Preschoolers (3 and 4 year olds) three days a week, and Junior Kindergartens (5 year olds) five days a week. In all, we have 94 children whom we serve through academic, social, and spiritual activities.

IBC Media Library
Books, audiotapes, and videotapes are provided on loan to church members and visitors and to other members of the community upon request. Volunteers are needed for the library desk, to maintain media, promote the library resources, and to READ! Our media library is located just outside the front sanctuary doors. It is open Sundays 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Wednesday 7 p.m. to 8:30, and other times as needed

Missions Council
IBC members are very active in missions. The Missions Council plans and coordinates trips throughout the year both within the U.S. and in foreign countries. They are always seeking those who are being called by the Lord to fund, to pray, or to go.

Operation Christmas Child
Samaritan's Purse ministry provides hope to children around the world in desperate situations through gift-filled shoe boxes and Christian literature. This program provides an opportunity for individuals of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project that reaches out to suffering children while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas–Jesus Christ, God's greatest gift. Pennies For Heaven
Pennies For Heaven is a nonprofit organization designed to minister to the basic needs of the homeless and underprivileged of Richmond. Pennies For Heaven distributes bagged breakfasts daily, bagged breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and operates a Thrift Store at 2 East Broad Street, Richmond.
Areas of service include: providing bagged meals or beverages, distributing the bags, donating gently used items for the thrift store, or volunteering to work in the thrift store.

Strategic Ministry Planning Committee
A nominated committee whose goal is to evaluate existing and plan/initiate/facilitate ministries within IBC to fulfill God's will in our church and community. If you have an idea for a ministry you would like to start through IBC, contact this committee.

Student Mentoring
Volunteers spend an hour a week as a mentor to one student for the entire school year. Some students lack parental involvement due to multiple jobs or shift work etc. Some struggle with social skills, poor grades, attention deficit and other problems that can cause low self-esteem and feelings of despair.

Women of Worth
Women of Worth ministries (WOW) meets every couple of months for speakers/social events/outreach projects, etc. (see Courtyard Assisted Living). We have small groups meeting during the week for fellowship, prayer, encouragement, etc. See our bulletin board in Sunday School hallway.
