From Pastor Gary:
Mask Required Indoor Worship – We got off to a great start this past
Sunday with our new 9:00 a.m. Mask Required worship inside. Because of
the unusually hot weather. I just heard today that we have had 21 straight
days with temperatures over 90 degrees. While it continues to be so hot
our 9:00 a.m. service will stay indoors. We are taking extra precautions
with sanitizing, social distance seating and greeting with a way or elbow
bump! Thanks for your help in all this as it is so good to be able to worship
whether indoor or outdoors. Live Streamed, and Mask encouraged
Worship at 10:45. Our seating is still socially distanced, and greeting is still
Lord’s Supper – will be observed on August 2 at both services. Prepackaged
communion elements will be available, or you can bring your own. If you
are joining by Livestream be sure you have your own bread and juice
available. This is an excellent time to remember and worship the Lord.
BLESS THIS MESS – This Sunday we start this new series. Basically, this
series will lead us out in outreach in a fresh new way. This is one of the new
initiatives suggested by our Transition Team to help reach our vision “To
see all Peoples and all Generations creatively sharing the love of Jesus
Christ.” What better way than to begin from our own home and hopefully
Bless Every Home. If you have a computer or smart phone you can sign up
for this online. A link to do that is included in this Bridgeblast.
By praying, caring, sharing, and discipling we can have a great impact and
be shining lights in this dark time.
Thanks to all for your faithfulness in worship, giving, sharing, and living out
the life of Jesus during this time. If you know of special needs that we can
be a part of meeting do not hesitate to notify the church office.
From Madelyn Tatum:
Happy August! I am so excited for the events coming up for the youth in the remainder of the summer.
Throughout July, we have begun hosting more youth events such as weekly Wednesday night Fuzed
gatherings, a Lake Day, and Blacklight Dodgeball Tournament. In addition, we have continued online
events such as Sunday morning Instagram Live Bible lessons and Zoom Ladies’ Bible study.
In the month of August, we are particularly looking forward to our Fuzed Service Week, which will take
place August 3-7. The students will be participating by doing lawn care for the elderly in our community.
On August 7, we will be celebrating the end of our service week by having a cookout, then a big youth
event at Ironbridge Sports Park. If you would like more information, contact Madelyn at
firstname.lastname@example.org or check out the Instagram page at Ironbridge.Youth!
From Paul Jr.:
Hey Ironbridge! For our young adults: we are moving inside on Sunday mornings! Due to the extreme heat, we will now meet at 11:00 in the welcome center. However, our Wednesday night events will still be held outside at 8:00. For everyone: keep your eyes out for the beginning of our 1×1 Mentorship program. While you may have had experience with mentorship before, Christian mentorship looks a bit different. In September, we will be holding a training event to kick things off, but make sure to pray about mentorship over the next month!

From Pastor Paul:
SUNDAY FUN NITE! – This event has been rescheduled for Sunday, August 9 th at 7pm. Hopefully, the
weather will be more agreeable this time. Sorry for the postponement, but it was an amazingly hot and
stormy week. This will be a fun time for our church family to get together in a safe atmosphere,
outdoors. There will be fun music, fun ice cream, fun comedy…basically, fun for the whole family! Be
sure to bring a chair or blanket and come have a great time fellowshipping with each other. Maybe
there is a friend you can bring, too!
BRIDGE GROUPS – We are always wanting to explore new areas of growth concerning group life. Please
be in prayer with me over the next few weeks as we seek to expand this ministry. I am staying in contact
with current leaders and always looking for new ones as we prepare for the fall season. Our leadership
retreat revealed several groups we would like to offer at Ironbridge Church. Bridge Groups are a great
way to stay connected and to grow. If you are interested in joining or leading a group, please contact
me at email@example.com. You can also check them out at www.ironbridge.org by clicking on Bridge
SERVING – Have you ever considered working with our Tech Team? We have six positions to fill each
Sunday morning utilizing sound, cameras, lights, and screens. If you are interested, training will be
provided. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
First – Thanks to all the families who participated in this year’s VBS on-the-go! We
saw some fun photos and videos of kids you know having fun and learning about
God. What a unique way to experience discovering God’s Word as a family. Tanya
and I hope it was a fun learning time for each of you! If you didn’t get to view the
lesson videos, don’t worry, they are still available to view. You can go to the
bridgekidzchildrensministryVBS Facebook group OR all the links are included in
the Kit directions.
August is the time we in Children’s Ministry prepare for the “next year’s” Ministry
Year! It will definitely look different this year! Here’s what is coming up!
When will Children’s Ministry re-open?
Tanya & I working diligently on a plan to re-open children’s ministry in as safe and
effective way as possible. While we are not exactly sure how this will look, we do
know it will be different than in the past. We ask your prayers for wisdom and
discernment in establishing and implementing appropriate procedures and
processes to help all our families and volunteers to feel safe, encouraged and
valued when we meet in person again. We are hoping to schedule our first in-
person children’s ministry meeting in September, when school would begin
When does my child “move-up”?
Promotion Sunday is important in the life of children! Our young ones in
Kindergarten can opt to move to the “big” kid classes and our new 6 th graders are
excited and apprehensive to move up to Youth. We have scheduled this date to
officially be September 6 th .

From the Office Staff:
Bookbag & School Supply Donations for School Kids:
Ironbridge Church is helping to collect 100-150
Bookbags for kids in need. The filled bookbags are
distributed by teachers to kids who do not have the
supplies they need for school. In many instances,
the teachers sacrifice their own personal supplies to
kids. Keep in mind that many parents are out of
work and perhaps have been for some months.
Schools that bookbags were distributed to last year
were: Henning Elementary, Salem Church
Elementary and Ecoff Elementary School. All local
schools in our community. Ironbridge participated
and donated 270 bookbags!!
A donation box will be placed in the “Missions Corner” next to the Food Box.
