From Pastor Gary:
Giving Thanks 2020 certainly qualifies as an unusual year (and its not even over yet). But through all of this we have so much to be thankful for. God is faithful; we have been blessed. He has given us many opportunities to experience and share His bountiful provision. I hope you and your family will have a great time giving thanks to the Lord together. We are anticipating our ThanksLiving Service on Tuesday the 24th. I hope you can join us for that special time at 7:00 p.m.
Good News We are in the middle of a special Sunday morning series about witnessing and sharing Jesus. I hope you have been encouraged in your witnessing opportunities as I have during this time. Also, this series is a bridge to our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. We are so blessed to have Dr. Jeff Ginn to share with us on November 29. Jeff, is the father of our new student pastor, Zach Ginn. Jeff and his wife, Nell, currently serve with the International Mission Board in South America. We are so blessed to have them with us as they are currently engaged in what the Lord is doing in that strategic part of the world. Shortly after being with us they will be going back to the field. So, we get to hear from them and to encourage them as they go. Our church goal for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering this year is $20,000. I encourage you to pray and ask the Lord’s guidance for how much he wants you to give in this mission offering this year. Together we can meet and exceed this goal.
Great Joy Our Christmas sermon theme this year is Great Joy. It is critical for us this year to celebrate the “good news of great joy,” who is Jesus. I look forward to moving through the Advent Season together in this most unusual year. We want to be a part of all that the Lord is doing here and around the world as lives are changed through the gospel. “Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13: 8)
From Pastor Paul:

What’s happening on Sundays in BridgeKidz?
Preschool and Elementary are finishing their series on Gratitude and Thankfulness! What a great month this has been of wonder and discovery of what it means to be thankful and show gratitude to God and to others.
Preteen kids have started their series on Worship. What is worship? Is worship boring? How does God want me to worship? Preteens discover the answers to these questions about true worship and more during this 13-week series as they continue through the Forged: Faith Refined Discipleship Series. What a perfect season to focus on Worshipping as we remember the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ!
Preschool: We will have a sweet month as we combine the Christmas Story with Christmas Cookies! While cookie cutters, decorations, and excitement will fill this entire month, the focus will be Jesus—Specifically. We want every preschooler to know that what we are celebrating this time of year is the wonderful truth that God loved the world so much that He gave us His only Son, Jesus. Memory Verse: John 3:16 “God loved the world so much that he gave His only Son.”
Key Question: Why is Jesus Special? Bottom Line: Jesus is God’s Son.
Elementary: This year has been full of many emotions, difficulty, and stress. With all that’s going on this time of year, we are going back to the basics and simply celebrate Christmas. The truth is Jesus is the BEST GIFT GOD EVER GAVE!! Jesus was proof that God loves us, and we can trust God no matter what. Because of Jesus, it’s possible for us to have a relationship with God that will last forever. As we remember the Christmas Story, we take time to celebrate the greatest gift the world has ever known and rediscover, joy and hope and peace as we rest in the unconditional love of God.
Memory Verse: Luke 2:11 “Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you. He is the Messiah, The Lord.”
Parent Resource Area: Have you seen our updated Parent Resource Area? We now have the weekly handouts for preschool, elementary, and preteens available. If you miss a week, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
Also, we are in the process of expanding options available as resources for families. Continue to watch for updates in upcoming BridgeBlasts for details.
BridgeKidz Online: We are diligently working on expanding our online experience and options for families and kids. Currently, we are posting a video lesson for preschool and elementary kids on our BridgeKidz Facebook Page and the BridgeKidz Facebook Group. This is the same lesson given in person on Sundays. Look for updates about online experiences and options for BridgeKidz over the coming months.
From Pastor Zach:
As a student ministry, we have been walking through the book of Philippians. One of the truths we have studied says, “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
As we reflect on a season of gratitude, the leadership of the student ministry wants you to know that we are thankful for you. As a church and as parents, each event you take time to drive your child to, each prayer you offer for them, each act of support like provided a meal, says to our students, “you are significant.” We notice your care for us. We are thankful.
Looking ahead, we want to highlight some big events, in addition to our normal gatherings, for the student ministry this December!
Wednesday, 12/2 – Fuzed: in the main sanctuary
– What you have come to expect for Fuzed: food, fun, and biblical teaching, but with a twist. This Wednesday we will gather in the main sanctuary because the Fuzed sermon and worship will be live-streamed! Parents we invite you to join in by watching on the church’s Facebook page. / 6:30pm
Sunday, 12/6 – Student Sunday
– Students are taking over this Sunday! Both main services will be led by the student band, and Pastor Zach. As a result, there will be no morning gathering. Students can sign up to serve as greeters. / 9:00am & 10:45am
Wednesday, 12/16 – Christmas Party
– As Christians, we have a reason to party come December. Invite your friends to a Christmas party they will not forget. / 6:30pm
Wednesday, 12/30 – Fuzed: Vision Launch
– We’re excited to reflect on the past year and look forward to the new year. / 6:30pm
