From Pastor Gary:
Staying Strong on the Jesus Journey: Our journey with Jesus has been interesting as of late. This is true both individually and as a body of believers. The great news is that Jesus is faithful regardless of outside circumstances. He has been with us as we have gone through and continue to go through this Covid Pandemic. When we had to stop meeting together last March, He had already been preparing us to move our worship to online. Then at the end of May we began to meet outside and online. Again, the Lord had people and needed resources in place, and we felt His presence during that season. Then we met outside, inside, and online until the temperature was getting too warm outside. Late summer we began to meet two times inside and online during the second service; a schedule we have thankfully been able to keep since that time. Our student ministry and children’s ministries have been very creative and changing as well during this period. What is amazing to think about is how faithful the Lord has been to make a way for us to keep growing in our faith and ministry through such changing circumstances. He is faithful and abundantly blesses, if our hearts stay fixed on Him. It all comes down to keeping our eyes on Jesus as we walk in Him each day, stay open to His leadership, and be courageous to do what He leads us to do. I want to thank you for your faithfulness in this journey whether you have been able to meet in person or not. We all miss seeing each other, and we look forward to when we can do that more freely, but until then we just keep walking confidently on the path He lays out in front of us each day. As we keep our “eyes” on Him, He keeps us strong “in” Him.
Revival weekend – March 19-21. I want to encourage you to be praying for this time as we all need the Lord’s renewing and “times of refreshing.” Dr. Gordon Fort will be leading us in this time. Our services will be available online as well as in person so we can all join together during that weekend.
TRANSFORMED: Our Sunday morning series has been powerful, and we follow how the Lord uses His word, His Spirit, and His people to make us more like Jesus. I look forward to the coming weeks as we see how our church “callings” are used to help us grow “into his likeness.”
From Pastor Paul:
Groups are continuing to meet in difficult days. I am so grateful to God for our leaders who are figuring out how to make that happen. I really want to encourage all leaders and participants to work hard to remain safe during their meetings. Masks and social distancing are a necessary part of this. We are assigning groups appropriately sized rooms when meeting at the church. I want to encourage you to stay masked when in these rooms. We are continuing to make sure that rooms are cleaned and prepared for your meetings. Some groups are continuing to meet through Zoom which is the safest way possible. If you would like more information on Bridge Groups, you can check them out by going to our website at www.ironbridge.org and clicking on Groups. You are also welcomed to email me at email@example.com and I will help however I can.
Summer Connection Groups
I am always excited for Summer Connection Groups to come together. These groups will meet at least 3 times during the summer months and are a great way to meet others at church who have like-minded interests. I will be working on organizing these groups over the next few months. If you have an idea for a group, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know what you are thinking. It is easy to set new groups up.
We are continuing to look for individuals who have experience or want some training in various tech areas. If this team could grow just a little bigger, it would take some pressure off current members who are faithfully serving. Please email me at email@example.com if you have an interest.
Adult Worship Team
I am excited to say we are gaining some momentum with new people coming on board. This is helpful while others are taking a break. If you have an interest in this team, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Student Worship Team
The Student Worship Team has a new member! We welcome Macie Mapp who started in January as a singer. This is opening up many new options for worship songs for the team. God is really using this team as they lead their peers in worship.
From Pastor Zach:
If you are anything like me, a reset button can make up for the many technology deficiencies I possess. Sometimes a moment to reset spiritually is exactly what we need to reconnect with Christ and community. This is what we aim to provide this month with our “Reset 21” student event.
Reset 21 is a discipleship-focused weekend for students to get away from their normal rhythms to reconnect with Christ. This year the theme will be, Jesus Changes Everything. For three days we will be learning from the book of Colossians as we uncover how Jesus guides us into abundant life.
Because the weekend falls on Valentine’s holiday (Feb. 12-14th), we want parents to also be able to reset, rest, and reconnect with one another. We will be covering meals for each gathering listed in the schedule. Additionally, we will be going to Uptown Alley on Saturday, as a part of a full-day getaway for the students.
To ensure maximum safety for the health of your children, we will not be sending students to host homes this year (please see the welcome back plan for our other precautions). At the beginning and end of each day, parents are to pick up their children for them to spend the evenings in their own homes. For transportation to Uptown Alley, we will have volunteers drive. However, if you would be more comfortable driving your own child, please let us know prior to 2/13 via email.
The cost for the full event will be $30 per student. This cost covers food, a Reset 21 sweatshirt, and their Uptown Alley package. Students must register in order to engage in each activity. We will only be accepting online payment at this time. You can register and pay by clicking the link here:

Sunday: 10:45am services in-person. Please register each week on the church center app to save your spot.
Theme: The Sandbox
Bottom Line: Jesus Loves Me.
Memory Verse: Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times.
Our youngest kiddos will be learning God loves them, even though we don’t deserve it. We desire for these little ones to know that God’s love for them never changes, and they can be sure, even when we make mistakes, God loves us.
Theme: SuperFan: Cheer one another on!
Life App: Kindness:
Memory Verse: Colossians 3:12 You are God’s chosen people. You are holy and dearly loved, so put on tender mercy and kindness as if they were your clothes. Don’t be proud. Be gentle and patient.
Pre-teen: Footsteps of Jesus
Walking through the four gospels in chronological order. Putting all those pieces together, discovering Jesus is who He says He is, and that He is the only one who can save us from our sins.
We post video of the Sunday Bible Lessons each week on our BridgeKidz Facebook page (@bridgekidzchildrensministry). We mail monthly packets to families who are not attending in person that provide activities, memory verse, and devotionals that assist parents in engaging with their kiddos with the truth of God’s Word. If you miss a Sunday Morning, your kids can view the online videos of the same lesson they would have shared in-person.
If you would like to receive the monthly resource packet, please contact Tammy via email: email@example.com, and we will add you to our mailing list!
