Hear from our staff…
From Pastor Gary:
We have many exciting opportunities ahead of us in the month of July.
TRUTH MATTERS The truth always matters, but never more than now. We are launching this new sermon series on July 4, because “the truth will set you free.” Plan to join us for a great day of celebrating the freedom we enjoy in the USA because of our freedom in Christ.
VBS 2021-Press Play Get in the Mix starts on Monday, July 12 at 5:30pm. This year our Vacation Bible School will be outdoors each night July 12-15 from 5:30p.m.–7:30 p.m. Tammy Baylor, our Children’s Ministry Director, is leading a great team in preparation for a wonderful time of ministry of God’s Word to children. We need more volunteers. You can sign up to help from the church website events page at www.ironbridge.org/events. Let’s be much in prayer and participation for this powerful week of ministry.
PK Men’s Conference will be hosted by Ironbridge on Friday night July 16th Saturday morning July 17th. This event will strengthen men in their faith and walk in Christ and their connection with other brothers in Christ. Register online at: www.ironbridge.org/events. Tickets cost $20 and the Promise Keepers organization will be refunding the church $10 for each registered participant. I want to encourage all our men to register and attend if at all possible. It will encourage you in your walk in Jesus.
LifeLine Preventive Health Screenings will be hosted by Ironbridge on Tuesday July 27 th . This is a great help to identify risk for stroke, heart disease and other chronic conditions. You can register for these 5 vital screenings in one package for $149 and it takes 60-90 minutes. Register by calling 1-888-653-6441 or text the word “circle” to 797979.
National Night Out – August 3rd – Please check our website ironbridge.org for more information. This will be a great time to interact with our community that highlights those who serve. As you can tell, the Lord is working among us, and we are blessed to be able to be a part of so many great ways of sharing His love. Thanks for all you do.
NEW BRIDGE GROUP FORMING!
Our Bridge Groups are continuing to find ways to meet and experience spiritual growth and depth in their relationships with God and each other. I am excited to let you know that there will be a new Bridge Group starting for single mothers called SINGLE WARRIORS. This group, led by Loretta Breedlove, will meet on Wednesday evenings at Ironbridge Church from 6:30 to 8:00pm in room 204. They will be doing a study called, HOPE AND HELP FOR THE SINGLE MOM.
It is a video series. A study book will also need to be purchased for $12.99. I am looking forward to this group kicking off and filling a great need in the church. Pray with me as they prepare to begin and consider getting signed up soon. Maybe you know of a single mom who could really use this time for growth and encouragement. Take a moment and reach out to them! To sign up use your Church Center app or go through the church website at
www.ironbridge.org by clicking MENU, and then BRIDGE GROUPS.
Connection Groups are also now in full swing. You can check them out the same way through your Church Center app or the church website. Take some time to get connected this summer!
WORSHIP AND TECH TEAMS
If you have any interest in Worship or Tech Teams, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would love to get you involved and in using your gifts!
As I write this month’s letter, 40 people from Ironbridge Student Ministry are on the campus of Liberty University for Summer Camp 2021. This week alone, we have had new friendships form, students asking how they can represent Christ with boldness in their community, and some have expressed faith in Christ! These rich experiences did not bloom from a dry pot. For months, these students have been saturated in the scripture, prayer, and community. Our leaders showed commitment to sacrifice time and energy to see our students own their faith in Christ and leverage their lives for his cause. We want to thank you for your love-in-action that has been directed towards the younger generation in our church. Through your prayers and giving, we have been able to experience a harvest of richer faith.
Though we rejoice at what God has accomplished in and through his people this past season, we now turn our gaze to the future. We have tasted the goodness of God and we want more! Much of Chesterfield county is missing out on encountering God’s grace and we are not comfortable until more students come to Christ.
Would you continue to pray for us and invite families to join as we seek God this summer?
Okay, that’s all for now, I need to get back to the students!…

Summer is in full swing! Kids are out of school, and we begin our summer with our first BridgeKidz Hangout -connection group as we end the month of June. Our next hangout will be July 21st 6pm-8pm. Bring you kids 5 years of age through 5th grade to hangout with friends and have fun. Ride bikes, jump rope, hula hoop, and so much more! Parents can sign-in and drop off their kids, or “hang-out” in their own area while the kids have fun.
Our theme in BridgeKidz this summer is Press Play. We are focusing on Confidence. We define confidence as seeing ourselves the way God sees us. All summer we are digging into God’s Word and learning about different people whose confidence came from the way God saw them and not how they saw themselves or even their circumstances.
Summer also brings VBS. We continue our Press Play theme for this 4-day event July 12-15th. This will be an in-person outdoor event for kids 3 years of age through 3rd grade; however, if you have a 4th or 5th grader who would like to attend, please register them, we will have a group with rising 4th graders that they can join.
VBS still could use your hands and feet to help during VBS. We need helpers in all areas from check-in, small group time, crafts and games. Come spend some time getting to know some amazing kids and share the love of Jesus with them. Sign-up at our VBS event page and look for the “click here” to sign-up for volunteers.
As always, please contact me at email@example.com with any questions or if you are interested in serving in our Sunday Morning ministry or upcoming events.
