Pastor Search Team Updates

Your Pastor Search Team

Dear Ironbridge,

Please join us in a warm welcome for Pastor Michael Rodriguez, his wife Carryssa, and daughters Annsleigh (6) and Collins (3) to Ironbridge. Pastor Michael will begin his time with Ironbridge after Labor Day and Sunday, September 11 will be his first official Sunday as our Lead Pastor. We are very excited to see God’s continuing guidance as we pursue God’s vision for Ironbridge under Pastor Michael’s leadership.

The members of the Pastor Search Team are grateful to have served Ironbridge Church on this journey, and we are reminded of this passage as we reach this new beginning. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”  Proverbs 3:5-6

A letter from Pastor Michael,

My name is Michael Rodriguez, and my family and I are excited to be with you on the 31st to dream of what God might do in our future together. The hand of God has been all over my life, guiding me to who I am today. I surrendered my life to Christ at the age of 13 and committed to following the Lord into full-time vocational ministry. My passions are to faithfully preach the truths of God’s Word, help people take the next step in their faith journey, and to reach the next generation through a family ministry mindset.

After graduating from Ouachita Baptist University, I went on to study at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where I earned my Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees. I have been in full-time ministry for almost 15 years in Alabama, Virginia, and Mississippi in various roles, including Student Ministry, Discipleship, and currently as a Teaching Pastor. In addition, I have served on two executive teams and have experience leading staff, developing teams, and overseeing all ministries, curriculum, and lay leaders within the local church. God has used these experiences to shape me into who I am today and to prepare me for this moment.

My wife, Carryssa, and I met and fell in love doing ministry together in Missouri. Carryssa is a pharmacist and loves to craft and bake and, most importantly, vacation at the beach. We have been blessed with two beautiful daughters, Annsleigh (6), and Collins (3). We are a family on mission, and we believe God has called us to the work of telling others the Good News about the grace of God. Our hearts continue to be burdened to share this Good News, asking the Lord to use us as His vessel to make an impact on the world for His glory.
