Hear from Our Staff…
From Pastor Gary:
FOLLOWING JESUS INTO THE FUTURE Hopefully that resonates with every Christ follower among us for it is our basic commitment that we made to Him. It is also the name of our new sermon series that starts this Sunday morning. When we came to Jesus, we gave him our past, our present, and our future. As Jesus said in Luke 9:23, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” As we do that on a daily basis, we are literally “following Jesus into the future.” The Bible gives us many examples and teaching to help us fulfill that very commitment that we have made. Of course, as a church, we are on that path as well. Our search team is leading us out in this endeavor which is not unlike what we are all doing individually each day. When we understand and are reminded of this it encourages us to “follow Jesus together.”
FAMILY FOCUS I think that is a fitting way to describe our opportunity in the next season that we are entering. In May we have Mother’s Day, and then in June we have Father’s Day. This inclusive time is essential for us to encourage, thank, and pray for families that are in and around Ironbridge. We will have a special opportunity to do this during our Parent-Child Dedication on Mother’s Day May 8th. If you know of young families, or are a young family, please take advantage of this time to rededicate yourselves and dedicate your child/children to the Lord. A much- needed emphasis is for godly people to take the lead in strengthening family life today. Our world and our country need this more than they are usually willing to admit or acknowledge. We want to “impress” our children with God’s truth to give them a fair chance to make meaningful decisions for Christ.

Hey Ironbridge Church,
THANKS FOR CLEAN UP DAY! I would like to thank the group of volunteers that came on Saturday, April 9th for Clean Up Day. We were able to spend a good amount of time beautifying the property in preparation for the Easter festivities. It is always fun to stand shoulder to shoulder and get some good work done. You are all appreciated!
THANKS FOR HELPING WITH EASTER AT THE BRIDGE! We certainly had a great time this year at Easter at the Bridge. No event like that comes together very well unless a lot of people pitch in, and you guys came through in a marvelous way! We had a great number of community people come through in this outreach. We now have a really good way to contact them with any upcoming events, like VBS, that they may be interested in. God bless each of you as you continue to serve here at Ironbridge!

From Pastor Zach:
April was a powerful month of spiritual growth for our students. We concluded one of our most well-received series through the book of Ecclesiastes, we had several new students join the ministry, and we ended the month with a baptism celebration. Here is a quote from one of our students, Macie Mapp, that she said during her baptism, “I had been very disconnected with the church and my friends but since everyone seemed like they were going back to youth, I figured I would too. The very day I started coming back to Ironbridge I felt welcomed and included by all the leaders and quickly made many friends… with Christ rooted in me I have changed from mindlessly floating through life to having purpose through my Holy Father.” Do you feel disconnected? We encourage you to take a step of faith by coming to one of our weekly Wednesday and Sunday student gatherings.
