Salvation

What is Salvation?

  • Salvation is the first step in becoming a follower of Jesus.
  • Salvation begins by acknowledging there is a problem. We are born into this world separated from God by sin and will die separated from God by sin. But the good news is, there is a solution. God sent his Son, Jesus, to die sacrificially & be raised to life again on our behalf. Because of Jesus’ perfect sacrifice we can be reconciled to God and live forever eternally with Him. Jesus’ death on the cross for our sins is God’s free gift to us – we can not earn it. Accepting that gift is called salvation. We can not earn our way to eternal life by self-improvement or good works. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ into our life by a simple declaration of faith. Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 14:6, John 1:12, Acts 4:12, 1 Corinthians 3:11, Titus 3:5, Galatians 3:26, Romans 5:1
